Limnopharma has received the Avenir Matmut award for the best European start-up at the EIT Health Summit event in Paris on December 2. This award has been awarded by La Fondation de l’Avenir, which aims to support and promote research and innovation in health.
Limnopharma is a biotechnology company that develops drugs for the treatment of eye diseases, such as age-related macular degeneration and retinitis pigmentosa. The origin of Limnopharma is the research carried out by doctors Juan Carlos Morales Sánchez (CSIC) and Francisco Díaz Corrales (CABIMER, Junta de Andalucía).
